It's a bloody friendly Moysie why so defensive second half?

What's the point of practicing a style you're not going to play?

If we had lost it wouldn’t have been a crisis (Although there would be many on here that would have tried to portray it as that) and because we won it isn’t some huge victory either.

It’s a friendly with the purpose of getting players match fit.

Taking some positives though (If we are allowed) the fact that all 3 strikers scored is a good thing and hopefully we can be less reliant on Antonio next season particularly as he’s seen better days.

Still work to be done and even if no one else leaves we still need a minimum of 3 players (Centre Back, replacement for Rice & another midfielder to replace Lanzini & push Soucek).

COYI!

Watched few bits of it. It sounded like most of the crowd were West Ham? Can anyone who watched it all confirm?

Re: £5 to watch the game against Spurs from Oz...
What a morning! I had to drive 30 miles to a meeting so didn’t look at computer first thing so hadn’t realised game was on this morning.

I got home at midday and saw the game kicked off 11am gmt. Checked my tv channels and found the game with us already 2-0 up and saw 10 minutes or so to half time.

Then an engineer turned up just as we restarted and so I had to spend some time with him explaining what was needed.

Then get back to TV at 2-2. Saw Fornals put Scamacca away to 3-2 . Then we played Moyesball some more but good to see some decent youngsters coming through.

Wish I’d seen more but considering our internationals were just returning to training this week and half our squad were kids while Tottenham seemed full of 1st teamers that’s not a bad start.

I hope we keep Scamacca. He was actually looking interested and he’s a finisher that’s for sure.

I'm always up for a positive, and 3 strikers taking their chances is one for me.

If I was a Spurs supporter I’d be gutted. As a West Ham supporter I was just laughing.

Ings doing the Kane goal celebration after he scored was a great piss take. Good goal for Scamacca. We played very defensive, I'm hoping that's because of the limited first team we had there and not because that's how we are going to play in the new season. I'm happy with the result though.

That game was classic West Ham. I'd take that result in the prem. Painful to watch but 3 points from that mob.

Clearly we lost by WHO rules as possession is the only measure that counts.

Somebody finally managed to hit a decent pass and Scamacca was away. Hats off to him, that was a cool finish with a defender breathing down his neck. Is that another trophy for the cabinet?

Re: £5 to watch the game against Spurs from Oz...
That was so one sided it was hysterical.... but too be fair... if we had gone toe to toe with them I imagine it would have been probably a different result with the squads out there ... so fair play Moyes and co... keeper and back 4 were immense... and Pottsy Junior has not done himself any harm... very satisfying couple of games down under.

Attempts on goal:
Spurs 30
West Ham 4 (just one in the second half)
Classic Moyesball!

Re: £5 to watch the game against Spurs from Oz...
Pleased we beat that disgusting team of despicable cheating cunts..

But we look an awful football team to watch and gives me no hope for entertaining football this season. We will struggle if we keep giving the football to the other team. Simple really but against Moyesball unfortunately.

Re: £5 to watch the game against Spurs from Oz...
Vintage victory for Dour Dave.

Whingeing aside, we've beaten a full strength Spurs side with a mix of second string players and youths, plus Zouma, Bowen, Fabianski, and Emerson.

Yes we had to hang on a bit at times, but I was fully expecting us to get a battering.

Lovely jubbly.

I honestly can't believe that anyone expects any different from Moyes. You are going to have to embrace it for your own sanity. We've had a pretty impressive 4 year period even if it's painful to watch.

Brundal, spot on , hes learnt nothing and changed nothing. Awful tactics and if this is how we approach a friendly god knows how we ll approach competitive games
